Lisa Overbey's Journey - Lisa Strong
When you think of Lisa Overbey, one thing comes to mind..."THE BEST". Lisa is the best! She is the best wife, best mom, best grandma, best co-worker, and absolutely a best friend.
About three years ago, our dear Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer. Lisa went through the recommended surgery and treatments, bravely fought the fight, and was given the all clear last year.
However, the cancer has returned, and she has now been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in her liver and bones. Since it is the same type of breast cancer that responded well to treatment last time, there are treatment options available. The treatments will most likely consist of chemo and immuno therapies, but that decision will be made once more information is gathered.
Lisa was in the process of changing jobs when she became ill. She was to start her new job on May 3rd, which now is not possible. I have started this go fund me page to raise money to keep her insurance in place and to help with medical expenses.
Once Lisa is home from the hospital, I will be coordinating efforts for friends and family to stay with her during the day, so Steve can return to his normal work schedule. Please let me know if you are available. My email address is [email redacted].
