Lisa Michel Hannes Liver Transplant

Donation protected
In 2010, Lisa was diagnosed with Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH). Despite following doctor's instructions, it progressed and in 2012, she was diagnosed with cirrhosis.  In 2015, she was told that a liver transplant would eventually be necessary, but not in the immediate future.

For whatever reason, in November of 2017, the disease started progressing rapidly. During this time she also developed Ascites, endangering her kidneys.

In February of 2018, her doctors at UW Hospital in Madison informed her that she would need a liver transplant as soon as possible. The benefit of having a transplant soon was that she would be able to use a partial liver from a live donor, which would drastically increase her chances of long term success. We are currently in the process of finding a match for her.

While insurance will be taking care of the transplant procedure, there will be substantial out-of-pocket costs for post-transplant medications and she will be out of work for up to 6 months.

Our goal is to raise money for those out-of-pocket medications, and help Lisa take the time to make a full recovery.  Any monetary donations, as well as thoughts and prayers, are greatly appreciated.
