It is with deep sadness, that we say goodbye to a beloved daughter, wife, mother, friend, and teacher. Lisa Margaritis, 49, tragically lost her life while saving someone else.
During a stand-up paddleboard yoga class in Southold, NY, Lisa, an experienced paddleboarder, was helping a fellow student who was struggling with unforeseen rip currents. While tethered, Lisa fell into the water and her board got stuck on a bridge piling. Unfortunately, she drowned and lost her life at Hashamomuck Pond. A beautiful soul who will be missed by so many people.
Sadly, Lisa leaves her 15 year old son and husband.
