Mary Mamishian's Medical Retirement

In June of 2017, Lisa was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Colon Cancer. Though this particular diagnosis does not have an ideal prognosis, Lisa has not slowed down at all. She has continued to work, support her family, and manage the day-to-day demands of a very young 60-year-old woman.

However, due to the physical and emotional side effects of her treatment, she has made the necessary decision to retire. She has been working at Elmwood Street Elementary School in Millbury, MA for over 20 years. Saying goodbye to her work family has been tough, and she thanks everyone for their compassion.

This has led her to a medical retirement. She is retiring from work, but she will continue to go through with her treatment as planned. Despite her tough demeanor and her strong sense of self, she is not the type to always reach out when she needs it.

For this reason, I am attempting to raise as much as possible to help her get through her medical treatments and have her feel  more secure in her premature retirement.

Thank you to those who are reading this, and know that any contribution is met with heartfelt thanks.

With peace.
