Lisa Giancola Janci is my cousin and 52 years old. She was originally from Struthers, Ohio and currently resides in Poland, Ohio.
After many months of waiting, contracting shingles, going through the emotional and physical struggles of living with complete heart failure-SHE HAS RECEIVED A NEW HEART !!!
On Friday, April 13th they completed the surgery of a heart transplant. Lisa was in good spirits going into this lengthy process.
On Monday, April 16th, Lisa was sitting in a chair and eating food! Amazing. They were considering moving her out of intensive care.
There is a long road ahead, they realize. There will be emotional, physical and financial pressures to contend with.
Thank you all for keeping Lisa and Jeff in your thoughts and prayers. Your support is a blessing and they are humbled by your thoughtfulness and generosity.

Lisa is in complete heart failure and in need of a heart transplant.
She was recently life-flighted to Allegheny General in Pittsburgh where a Left Ventricular Assist Device was placed to aid her failing heart.
She is currently being evaluated for a heart transplant and will be placed on the donor registry in 3-6 months.
Any donation to defray the cost of medical bills would be greatly appreciated by Lisa and her husband, Jeff.
