Elisabeth M. Cole (51) of Gulf Breeze, FL, after a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2017, with her family gathered close. Longing for peace and rest, she left this world weary from the fight and landed in the arms of Jesus, being made completely whole again.
She was a loving mother, a caring daughter, an extraordinary sister and aunt, a treasured friend, and an angel on earth. If you ever had the good fortune to cross her path, your day was brightened by her smile and infectious giggle. She was always quick to lend a hand or offer a shoulder – she made everyone around her feel better. Her zest for life was contagious, and her spirit will live on in those she loved. Lisa’s sweet, sweet soul will be missed like no other.
Lisa is survived by her life partner and soulmate, Mark McKinney, who loved, comforted, and cared for her ever so gently until Lisa’s last breath. She was a very proud mom and is survived by her two wonderful sons whom she loved more than life itself.
Lisa was a legal secretary/paralegal in Pensacola for over 25 years, and made her home in Gulf Breeze, FL. Unfortunately, she lost her job a week after her cancer diagnosis in February, and had no health or life insurance to carry them through. Mark was unable to continue his carpentry work as he was needed to stay home and care for her and their 2 boys. With neither of them able to be actively employed, they lived off of their hard earned savings for the past 5 months, leaving very little for funeral expenses and school/college for their middle schooler and recent high school graduate.
Lisa was always the first to give a hand up to anyone in need, but now, after losing her, the family could use a hand up too. They ask that if you cannot help financially, that you would please pray for them as they put the pieces back together from this horrific loss.
