Lisa and Al's Emergency Moving Fund

Lisa Risley and Al Fondacaro have to vacate their Medford home on March 1st. The owner died and her children have decided to sell the house that Al has rented for the past eight years. Lisa had her second disability appeal hearing in early January before a  hostile judge who was essentially forced to take into consideration the real evidence he had so blatantly disregarded in the first appeal hearing.  Lisa deals with PTSD.  She suffers from bursitis in her shoulders, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, radial tunnel syndrome, and de Quervaine's syndrome--bilateral, meaning both shoulders, arms, wrists, and hands are screwed, plus osteo arthritis that affects hands, hips, and back. She is in pain 24/7, and has immense difficulty sleeping due to both physical pain and night terrors, and asthma that has gotten progressively worse.  The date of her disability was reset to November 2017;  she will not receive retroactive payments and has a five-month waiting period before her first check. She was counting on the retro payment to cover the move.  Al works full-time, but since Lisa was laid off from her full-time job in 2011 and can only work part-time now, Al has been covering all of their large bills with credit cards.

Reasonably, they need $7400 to move and cover expenses until the first SSDI check arrives in June.  They will have $2000 of it when Al receives his tax refund; an additional $1K when Lisa’s refund arrives. They are still $4.4K short.
