Lions Den Tattoo Co. vandalism

Hi, my name is Jamy and I’m fundraising for The Lions Den Tattoo Co in Prescott, AZ. In the late night/early morning after Labor Day, a random addict strung out on who knows what broke into the shop and started to tattoo himself with the equipment in several stations. Once he noticed there were cameras that had been recording him, that’s when he decided to get angry and absolutely destroy everything in the tattoo shop. Ripping apart ink bottles with his mouth, spraying potentially contaminated materials in complete disarray, destroying unique and meaningful pieces of original art and prints, all of the furniture, all of the tattoo equipment and supplies that are used on a daily basis. Austin Boyd is the owner and has poured his heart and soul into this place. He is a pillar of our community, often donating his time and efforts to many local charities and families in need. Two of his shopmates, Chris and Cory are completely uprooted by this as they have families to support and are left wondering how they’re going to make it.

Thankfully there is insurance, unfortunately we know that that’s going to take quite some time as this is a complete and total loss. In the meantime, nothing from the shop can be moved or even used to continue working elsewhere while everything is sorted with insurance and the adjuster.

This is to help them get back on their feet, get the area cleaned out once they get cleared from the insurance company to do so, and start to rebuild. Anything helps, of course, and a share goes a long way as well if you’re unable to help directly. Thank you for taking the time to read this, we will update as we can.

PS- The police were able to find the person that did this, covered head to toe in ink and he admitted it fully. He’s in custody and will have his day in court when the time comes. It still will never repair the damages that have been done or the food taken from these families tables but at least he can’t vandalize/harm anyone else for the time being.
