Help deserving Deltona High School student Lio go to a life changing conference this summer in Boston for future medical professionals! Without your help, he will not be able to attend this educational experience!

Lio has a unique opportunity to attend a competitive conference this summer related to his dream career, medicine. At this confernce he will meet and network with professionals at the top of their medical field. Being from a small town in central Florida, Lio, thought this would be an opportunity he would not be able to attend. The cost of this conference is beyond his mother's ability to afford. She is a single mother supporting Lio and his two younger brothers.
Lio is a sophomore honors student at Deltona High School where he is dedicated to his academics and maintains a high GPA even though English is his second language. From a young age, Lio has wanted to become a dentist. He also meets weekly with a mentor at school. They work together on building his academic strengths, and planning for the future. The picture of Lio in this campaign is with a vision board that he created with his mentor!
He was selected for the Congress of Future Medical Leaders, in Boston on June 25-27, 2018 https://www.futuredocs.com/. The conference is hosted by Washington Adventist University, and requires a 3.5 GPA or higher from those selected to attend. This conference will provide opportunities to meet with Nobel Prize winning physicians, Presidential National Medal of Science winners, as well as other medical leaders, researchers, and futurists.
Not only will Lio have a chance to meet and hear presentations from these experts, but he will also view live surgical procedures. This experience will help him more fully understand medicine as a profession, and what educational opportunities he will need to undertake to become a dentist. Plus, he will meet other like minded students his age with similar goals.
The cost of the Congress is $1,744 along with airfare and related travel costs. Please help Lio have this life changing experience this summer!
