Linton-Piccard Memorial Fund
Donation protected
We are campaigning for the Linton/Piccard Family, after the loss of Joseph L. Linton and Donald L. Piccard, Joseph's father in law. Joseph Lippincott Linton passed into everlasting peace on September 16th. He is survived by his daughters Elizabeth, Genoa, and his wife Wendy, who lost her father Donald in the same week.
Joseph Linton was a long-time Quaker who will be remembered for doing anything he can for his friends and family. He was a quiet gift to all who knew him and considered a sage by many, disguised as a gardener, builder, or caretaker of children. He saw no task too big and approached all work as an art form. Although cancer took away his body, his spirit will always be with us.
"To simply speak or think a thought is something, but to carve it in stone is yet another matter altogether." A quote from Joseph's book
Elizabeth Linton is a joy to all who hear her loving words. When she speaks at Friends meeting we often share tears of joy. Her mother Wendy Piccard is a kind woman of few words and often surprises us with her beautiful Haiku poetry.
Funds donated will help the family with purchases related to a memorial stone and planting a tree in Joseph’s honor, for bringing his ashes to Vermont, Ireland, and Scotland, and to ease the family transition.
A celebration of Joseph's life will be held at 3 pm on Friday, October 16th, 2020. Orchard Street Park (1440 Orchard St. Golden CO 80401) If you would join, please reach out to Elizabeth Linton or see FB page below.
