<div>Nel 2019, abbiamo creato <strong>Lineapp Surf Forecast</strong>, un’applicazione mobile che mette al centro il mare ed il surf, creando una vera e propria #community fatta di surfisti, scuole di surf e amanti del surf, insieme all'interno di un ecosistema alimentato da condivisione, informazione e scoperta.

<div>L'obiettivo di Lineapp è molteplice:

<li>dare un <strong>aggiornamento costante </strong>ed in tempo reale sulle <strong>condizioni delle onde</strong> negli spot internazionali, ovvero le spiagge registrate o segnalate dagli utenti, siano essi appassionati e/o istruttori, attraverso algoritmi interni e un sistema di rating;

</li>

<li>permettere a tutti i surfisti, di qualsiasi livello, di <strong>accedere ad una lettura del meteo marino semplificata</strong>, sulla base delle proprie competenze e del proprio livello. Un'attenzione è data soprattutto ai surfisti meno esperti, con indicazioni puntuali sul livello di difficoltà di ogni spot al fine di limitare possibili incidenti in acqua;

<li><strong>favorire, supportare e promulgare l'apprendimento del surf</strong> grazie alla possibilità per le scuole di surf di registrarsi e condividere le proprie attività;

</li>

<li>consolidare una vera e propria <strong>community del surf</strong> attraverso la presenza di funzionalità social che permettono di condividere foto, video e commenti, seguire altri surfisti, spot e scuole;

</li>

<li>promuovere l'<strong>ecosistema del surf a 360 gradi</strong> attraverso una dashboard di dettaglio personalizzabile dove, tra le varie funzioni, ricevere comunicazioni dirette con contenuti sul mondo del surf tra cui video, articoli, canzoni, libri che indirizzano l’utente alle pagine di contenuto (con possibilità per i brand di attingere a questa funzione in ottica promozionale).

<div><strong>Il Nostro Passato!</strong>

<div>Lineapp è stata lanciata in tutto il mondo, raggiungendo <strong>20k download</strong>, <strong>5k utenti attivi</strong> a settimana e previsioni in più di <strong>3K spot</strong>. Dopo 5 anni di applicazione gratuita, ci siamo resi conto che i costi di gestione erano diventati insostenibili, rendendo necessaria una <strong>pausa</strong>. Abbiamo interrotto Lineapp ma abbiamo ascoltato i feedback di tutti gli utenti e siamo tornati con un piano per migliorarla e renderla più sostenibile.

<div>Ebbene si, creare un'applicazione nativa per qualsiasi sistema operativo comporta tantissimi <strong>impegni economici</strong>, per citarne alcune: idealizzazione, progettazione, design, sviluppo, consulenza, server, PMO, database, account, servicing, provider.

<div>Inoltre, per nostra scelta e per dare il miglior servizio possibile, abbiamo deciso di:

<li>evitare di inserire all'interno dell'applicazione qualsiasi <strong>elemento pubblicitario</strong> (es. con pop-up o tra diverse schermate). Tutto ciò, con la consapevolezza che tali scelte non avrebbe favorito o generato supporto economico.

<div>Desktop Friendly Business - Con questo target saremo in grado di estendere la Piattaforma Web a tutte le attività Business legate al surf (negozi, surf house, surf trip agencies) che potranno registrarsi, gestire in autonomia il proprio profilo e promuovere le proprie attività, eventi, scontistiche e informazioni. Per tutti gli utenti di Lineapp significherà avere una mappa del mondo del surf nelle proprie mani.

<div>In 2019, we created <strong>Lineapp Surf Forecast</strong>, a mobile application that puts the sea and surfing at the center, creating a true #community made up of surfers, surf schools and surf lovers, together within an ecosystem fueled by sharing, information and discovery.

<div>Lineapp main goals are:

<li><strong>giving a constant, real-time update on wave conditions</strong> at international spots, i.e., beaches recorded or reported by users, whether fans and/or instructors, through internal algorithms and a rating system;

<li>enabling all surfers, of any level, to access a <strong>simplified marine surf forecast </strong>reading, based on their skills and level. Special attention is given to less experienced surfers, with timely guidance on the level of difficulty of each spot in order to limit possible accidents in the water;

<li><strong>encouraging, supporting and promulgating surfing learning</strong> through the possibility for surf schools to register and share their activities;

</li>

<li>consolidating a<strong> true surfing community</strong> through the presence of social features that allow people to share photos, videos and comments, follow other surfers, spots and schools;

</li>

<li>promoting the <strong>360-degree surfing ecosystem</strong> through a customizable detail dashboard where, among other functions, receive direct communications with content about the world of surfing including videos, articles, songs, and books that direct the user to content pages (with the possibility for brands to tap into this feature for promotional purposes).

<div>Lineapp was launched worldwide, reaching <strong>20k downloads</strong>, <strong>5k active users </strong>per week and forecasts in more than <strong>3k spots</strong>. After 5 years of the free app, we realized that the running costs had become unsustainable, making it necessary to take a break. We interrupted Lineapp but we listened to feedback from all users and came back with a plan to improve and make it more sustainable.

<div>Well, yes, creating a native application for any operating system involves so <strong>many economic commitments</strong>, to name a few: idealization, planning, design, development, consulting, server, PMO, database, account, servicing, provider.

<div>Also, by our own choice and to give the best possible service, we decided to:

<li>keep the application completely <strong>free</strong>;

</li>

<li>avoid placing any <strong>disruptive advertising </strong>elements within the application (e.g., with pop-ups or between different screens). All this, with the knowledge that such choices would not foster or generate economic support.

For all Lineapp users, it will mean having a map of the surfing world in their own hands.

<div>Desktop Friendly Schools - With this target we will also be able to implement Lineapp's schools platform from Desktop. A way to manage your own Surf School and share experiences, content and bookings for classes. For all Lineapp users it will be a new way to access the information they need.
