Lindsey's medical bills

My co worker  was excited to finally have some time off of work and she went to the caribbean to have a relaxing weekend. On the second to last day, she went on a beach excursion which was suppose to be a fun tour around the island on a doom buggy. The driver hit a hole and Lindsey went flying out of the doom buggie. There was no medical facility on the island so she had to wait until she flew back into the states to get it cleaned. This caused serious problems down the road with a flesh eating bactria that has entered her bloodstream and has now entered her bone. After the accident she developed a bloodclot that moved to her lung which has prevented any surgeries to be preformed. This means they cannot fix her broken foot and torn ligaments in her knee until the bloodclot is gone. She goes to a wound clinic every week to try and get the inflection taken care with antibiotics and debridement but the infection has presisted to move deeper into her foot. Although the chances have lessened, the doctors are still considerating the option of amputating her foot.  She works for a small law firm with no short term disability or FMLA. She has health insurance and the deductable was not met when the accident happened but has now been met and is now only covering part of the costs through co insurance.
