Our beautiful mother, Lindy, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
After battling breast cancer twice before, it has now come back and spread throughout her body. Doctors are hopeful for a year or so of life left.
We would normally never ask for help but this time we've decided to swallow our pride and ask our friends and family to help our much, much loved mum to complete a bucket list item.
Mum has always wanted to go to the Greek Islands but because she had four children she has loved with all her heart her whole life, everything she has ever had has gone back into giving us the best life she can.
There are no words to describe the feeling of knowing that the eyes that have looked at you your whole life with unconditional love will close way too soon and we, her children, want to do everything we can to make the rest of her time on earth a happy and joyous one.
So; we are on a mission to give Mum the holiday of her lifetime and send her to the Greek Islands. This is somewhere she has always wanted to go and would mean the absolute world to us (and her) if this was made possible in the time she has left.
I know everyone is doing it tough, but even if you could spare a dollar or two, it all adds up.
We love you Mum and are so grateful we were given the gift of you.
