WHAT AM I DOING?

I am a future student of Cornell University where I will study Environmental and Sustainability Sciences. Before entering university I will be taking a gap year to learn more about the effects of climate change around the world while filming a mini-documentary series. Currently, I have set agendas to visit Belize, South Africa, Norway, Fiji, and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. I plan to document the lives of everyday people and the struggles they face due to the changes in our climate.


WHY DOES IT MATTER?

My documentary will be important to gain awareness and address the fact that we must combat climate change now.  The impact today is so strong that we must not waste time for this rapid cause and effect happening all over the world and in our backyard. Whether it be mega-storms hitting islands like Puerto Rico and Fiji and coastal towns across the globe, glacial melting in the Arctic Circle, or rising temperatures and coral bleaching in the tropics, people just like us are being affected everywhere.


WHAT DO I NEED?

I need additional pieces of camera equipment that are necessary to film this documentary. Second, I am seeking additional funding to travel to Scandanavia and Australia.
