Medical Mission: Faith in Practice

Greetings,
My name is Lindsey and I'm a Mathematical-Biology graduate from  U of H (Phi Beta Kappa) and preparing for medical school in 2019.  As a faithinpractice.org (FIP) volunteer interpreter I'm raising funds to join a medical mission in Guatemala on February 23rd.

FIP doctors need interpreters and requested me ASAP because of my Spanish to English translating skills and knowledge of the regional dialect.

Providing medical care to those most in need is a passion of mine and this mission is a great opportunity. The FIP team will greatly benefit the villages in Guatemala.


FIP Medical Mission: 
FIP is a nonprofit (501-c) that deploys medical teams to underdeveloped countries, especially Guatemala.
The field team will  provide medical clinics in areas of greatest need serving hundreds of patients each day, many of whom will travel hours to receive treatment.

~$995 Food & Housing

Incurred Costs
~$1200  of 6 missed full days of work
~$370 "Travel" Doctor visit and vaccines
~$40 medications (inlcudes anti-malaria, etc)
