Masters in Environmental Law and Policy

Donation protected
After nine years in the workforce, I have returned to school to pursue a Masters in Environmental Law and Policy at Vermont Law School. Working as a community organizer on behalf of the Onondaga Nation for the past six years gave me a wealth of experience and smattering of legal knowledge.

My intention with the Masters' degree is to help fill in the gaps of that knowledge, allowing me to understand the legal universe in which we operate and be an even better strategist for creating the changes we wish to see in the world.

Topics of particular interest to me include land use law and how we can utilize it to remove obstacles for natural building, green infrastructure, local food and other sustainability practices that people are trying to implement but sometimes run into legal hurdles while doing; understanding climate change and the politics and possibilities at hand; and further developing the field of earth jurisprudence, establishing the rights of mother earth in written law.
