Linda's coming home

Our Shep4 family knows the incredible stress Linda is dealing with right now, but in case her story reaches beyond us (and I hope it does) here are the details.
Linda Ryan is a woman who has devoted her life to caring for others. First, as the propietor of a quality daycare, and then as a licensed nurses assistant on the inpatient Hematology/Oncology floor at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Linda is known by colleagues, patients, and families as someone who is generous with her care and her resources.
Not long ago Linda fell in love with Dennis. Not a ho-hum, everyday kind of love, but the kind where you look at two people and can see the love they share . The kind where someone sweeps you off your feet and you find yourself smiling randomly through the day. She and Dennis married and bought a farm together, a dream they both shared. Then Dennis, who had previously been treated for cancer and achieved remission learned that his cancer had returned. That meant traveling from their farm in NY over 3 hours to VT for treatment. Linda continued working full-time, picking up overtime to make ends meet, while also caring for Dennis. Their financial resources became increasingly stretched. Dennis completed a grueling stem cell transplant, with Linda by his side and continuing to work.
Sadly, Dennis and Linda now have to try to sell their farm in NY and move to VT so that he can be closer to treatment and Linda can continue to work and care for Dennis. Housing in Vermont is extremely expensive, and with medical bills rolling in and no one even looking at the farm Linda and Dennis are struggling. Linda can no longer stay in the place she was previously using when she was in VT, and they need some financial help to either get into a rental or to put down a deposit on a small home. Those of us who know Linda and Dennis know that they would be there for any of us in such a moment of need.
