Where to start...
We were always close, never lived far apart, from living across five acres from each other to then only a phone call away until May 2018. Our mom had been struggling with her throat as well as her voice changing and after many months and extensive tests our rock, our mama was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's (ALS). Unfortunately they gave her only twelve months or so. Once she learned of her condition she very quickly declined. At that time weight lose kicked in, and many other changes that made her realize she was going to need help with her every day activities and care. Immediately our family went into action. Everyone took on their role of how we could help our parents. My role was to move our mama into our home and create an environment that made her feel at home. We flipped some rooms around, hung some of her favorite things, rearranged the porch for her special sitting area where she spent most her days, and Bam...the rest was history. We blinked and a year and a half later here we are.
She was a fighter, and most definitely did her best to prove everyone wrong on how long she should be on this earth. We were absolutely blessed to have her with our family for as long as we did. Having her here was amazing! We accomplished many of her "bucket list" as best as we could from having some "HUGE" family bbq's, to camping trips across the state and quality family moments that are forever priceless to all of us.
When I say "we" I mean my family, as well as our dad, and my phenomenal siblings. We all played our part.
Even though our mama and family knew she had a limited amount of time, we most definitely weren't prepared for the financial situation we have been handed the past year and a half and now the funeral and memorial expenses on top of all it, its a bit overwhelming.

Our supportive  friends and family have been asking how they can lend support during this most difficult time, so we decided that this would be the biggest help of all.
We have set up this GoFundMe account to offset the costs.  Any residual funds beyond what is needed for the memorial will be used to support the ALS Foundation.
Thank you so much in advance for the thoughts, prayers, and love you have sent, we have all felt them, and continue to need them during this time.
