Linda and Nigel's Month off Booze

Our Granddaughter, Scarlett, has Coronal Synosotosis, a form of Craniosynostosis, which means part of her skull fused before she was born. This meant her head is miss-shapen and she has an issue with her eye. She had surgery to correct this mid October. My daughter has found a brilliant support group who use Facebook and Twitter to build a social group of parents whose children have the same issue and support them through the surgery. This is called Cranio Ribbons. Part of this support is to create care packs for families for their hospital stay, and these  are filled with items that have been donated. Cranio Ribbons does not have charity status but do also help raise funds for other charities involved with cranio surgery,  such as hospitals.   We would like to be able to provide some items for these packs as a thank you for the help and support they give the parents of these Cranio Warriers. In order to raise funds, Nigel and I decided to do a month off booze, which will be a bit tricky now we live in Spain where there is literally wine with everything! However, unlike Sober October, we are not starting on the 1st, we are starting on the 21st of October. We will be doing regular updates of how we are getting on.
