Indian Center PowWow Ground renovations

Tax deductible
Please join The Lincoln Indian Center Inc and Lincoln Kiwanis in making a difference. We are raising money to renovate the Lincoln Indian Centers PowWow Grounds. We are hopeful to repair the powwow arena that is damaged and decayed. Also, we have to update the wiring and lights. We want to purchase roofing for the renovated structure to protect the wood for years to come. We also plan to purchase bleachers so that more people native and non-Native can take part in the beauty of our culture and traditions. The powwow grounds mean so much to our Native community. We host PowWows which,, are one of the larger cultural events in our community. Powwow helps to unite/reunite us; as well as pass our traditions to the next generation. The powwows grounds are the stage for most of our practices which provide spiritually healing to our people during this tough time of covid and social, cultural and racial unrest. The Powwow grounds is and always, will be an open public event for both Natives and Non-Natives to partake in together. As the drum beats in the center of the circle it signifies the heart beat of mother earth, let us dance to the beat. Young and old, Native and non Native. Please help us to reach our goal for this much needed sacred events. Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
