</div>My family and I have suffered an unimaginable loss—our home, where we grew up and worked so hard to build a life together, is gone. Our house burned down in the Eaton Fire and we lost everything we had inside—our belongings, our memories, and our sense of security.
<br /><br />My parents immigrated from Guatemala and had the opportunity to buy our home when I was little. They have carefully customized it over the years to fit our growing family. 

At the time of the fire, there were 13 family members living at our multi-generational home: my parents (Sonia and Carlos), my grandmother (Martha); my eldest brother (Melvyn), his partner (Vicky), and their daughter; my older brother (Michael), his wife (Crystal), Crystal’s mother and their two children; my fiancé, Jackie—who works as a therapist at PUSD, servicing youth in the community—our pets, and I. <br /><br />We evacuated during the early morning on January 8th, with only our “go bags” since our plan was to return to the home in a few days. We did not get the chance to return to our home so now we’re starting over with almost nothing, seeking support to cover emergency expenses and day-to-day essentials. Your generosity will help us find stability and begin to recover from this devastating loss.
