Loving Lily Addis To Recovery

Huntley Community. White County Community. Illinois State University Community. Lacrosse Community. Friends. Family. Let us all come together as one as we show our support to a warm, loving, extraordinary family and a compassionate, bubbly, special young girl.

Lily Addis (17) had the ride of her life in 2017 as she transitioned from the Chicago suburbs and her Huntley family to small-town Sparta, Tennessee. Lily’s outgoing personality allowed her to fall right into the arms of some amazing new friends and family as she still valued her old life and Huntley friends and family.


Late Saturday night around 10:00 PM (January 6, 2018), Lily was involved in a collision with semi truck in the mountains near Sparta, Tennessee. Lily has some incredible angels watching above her as she fought hard for the first 24 hours. Lily was flown via Life Flight to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, about two hours South of their home.  Lily has made it through her first night at Erlanger and came out fighting through her first surgery. She has sustained multiple critical injuries and has a long road of recovery ahead of her.

Lily suffered from a broken and fractured pelvis and severely damaged her lower back. She had three brain bleeds as well as a large laceration on the back of her scalp. Lily has multiple severe contusions on her lungs as well.  Throughout this whole painful process, Lily is still herself with a grin on her face and her sense of humor is still shining through.


It is time to show support to one of the most gracious and accepting families that has touched all of our hearts and lives. Please help Lily as she begins her new journey and recovery.
