Please Help Lily Bivens

As you may have heard, my six year old niece Lily suffered a serve leg injury on Wednesday, May 30th, 2018.  Lily was not visible behind a vehicle, and an accident occurred where her right leg was rolled over by an SUV which left her knee missing vital bone, ligaments, and tendons which allow her to walk. This is a difficult time for Lily, but also for her family. Due to the nature of her injuries, she was transported by airplane to a children’s hospital five hours from their home. She has already undergone two surgeries since the accident where she received skin grafts. Her current hospital stay will be up to a month requiring numerous surgeries. Her mother will remain at her side, while her father will travel back and forth from home  for work.  In three months, Lily will have a major surgery involving ligament grafts. Throughout the summer, and possibly longer, Lily and her parents will need to travel back-and-forth from their home in Eureka to the Children’s Hospital in Oakland for subsequent surgeries and outpatient care.  This will put a financial burden on Lily’s family. Financial support will help prevent adding to the pain and suffering that they are already going through and allow them to focus on Lily’s recovery. We are asking for help to support them in their time of need. Lily is an amazing little girl who loves to dance, play baseball, draw, and make up stories.
