Lily Beats Cancer

Donation protected
How do you start revealing bad news. I’m not sure but I’m a rip the band-aid off kind of person.

Last Saturday, I took Lily in for not using one of her back legs and the x-rays showed a tumor on her femur. Yesterday, Dr. Stein (veterinary oncologist) took a biopsy and needle aspirate and it has been diagnosed as most likely an osteosarcoma (a malignant bone tumor). This last week has been so incredibly difficult for me trying to come to terms with all of this and what it means for Lily.

By far, the best option to give Lily the most time with the best quality of life will be amputation followed by chemotherapy but we need your help. The costs are not minimal and every little bit will help us give her the best possible life in the time we have left with her. If you can donate we will be eternally grateful. If not then thoughts and prayers are always welcome as well.

Lily is scheduled to have her leg amputated next Thursday (12-14-17) and then will begin chemo a couple of weeks after that.
