Lilly Jenkins Assistance dog DKD

Donation protected
Lilly was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder when she was 3 years old, she has just turned 4 and has also been diagnosed with a rare chromosome deletion , and epilepsy. Lilly has communication difficulties and displays lots of sensory seeking behaviours. Lilly has to attend hospital appointments, which she does not cope well with, becoming distressed and hiding under are chair during the appointment. Lilly experiences difficulties when out in public, and often has a meltdown because of the sensory overload that she experiences. This makes the world a scary place to navigate on a daily basis. Lilly does not acknowledge danger and will run off putting herself in harms way, this is why we have to use a toddler harness when we take her out. Lilly also has difficulty sleeping and wakes multiple times each night, and is difficult to settle down. We and DKD believe that an assistance dog would be very beneficial for Lilly and also for two of her brothers who also have Autism Spectrum Disorder And related problems.
DKD dogs for kids with disabilities is a non for profit organisation and totally relies on donations to provide this amazing service for families with children with disabilities. The cost of training and placing these incredible assistance dogs with families costs over $30,000 We would like to raise $25,000 so that DKD can continue to help families like ours. Thank you all in advance
Lots of love from the Jenkins family
