LillieMaes Food TruckTrailer Soul-Food on the Move

I'm starting this Go Fund Me page for my mom , Chef Rhonda Gaulden-Manning owner of House of Soul Food aka LillieMae's. My mom started out as a caterer renting a small commercial  kitchen in Santa Clara California  in 1998, she was blessed to open her first restaurant on Lafayette St. in 2001,  just four days after graduating from Mission College Hospitality Management/Culinary Program. In 2010 she opened up near the San Jose airport on Coleman Ave. in Santa Clara where she continued cooking and serving food to many loyal customers, friends and family throughout the Bay Area and beyond. People would line up out the door just to come inside for some of my Mom's  Fried Chicken, Catfish, LillieMae's Famous Mac & Cheese, Fried Okra, Collard Greens, Scream'in Peach Cobbler, Smoked Brisket, Boom'in Baked Beans, Chicken & Waffles and SOUL much more.... customers loved sitting down eating  in her LillieMae's Living Room where a big ole 84 inch TV hung on the wall, MANY customers came to gather for birthday parties, company meetings, baby showers etc...  She has had the pleasure of catering to many high-tech companies in the Silicon Valley. In 2014  LillieMae's was given the opportunity to serve food to many SF 49er fans on The Faithful Mile inside the  Levi Stadium. In 2016 my mom was selected as a Minority Woman owned business to participate in the "Super Bowl 50" this was such a great honor to her.  LillieMae's House of Soul Food was also featured in a magazine and chosen top 10 "Best Soul Food In America" ranking #7, just to name a few of her many many accomplishments. But after dedicating over 20 years in the restaurant industry unfortunate events caused her to have to close her doors and since that time Covid19 has also impacted her ability to re-open,  this was a devastating blow to my mom she said she just wanted to give up and felt like her life was over, But God! and many of LillieMae's faithful customers  convinced her to keep moving forward  even through the struggles, uncertainties and the many challenges she's had to face. I remember her saying that  a  loyal customer shared  a very inspirational message in which he said 'Endeavor to Persevere".  Those words really inspired her.  She has continued to move on offering her catering services, deliveries, and recently began Parking lot Pop-up events. She said when time permits and  things are much safer her goal is to re-open another restaurant again, but until then she would just love to take her Soul Good Food on the road with a Meals on Wheels Soul Food Trailer Truck , so  she can get back doing what she LOVE the most and that is cooking for her CUSTOMERS!. 

Having a Food Truck Trailer will allow her to reach and serve the BAY Area 7 days a week!


 As her daughter I know how much this would mean to my mom. I originally  looked into  pricing trailer truck outside of California which would have cost almost half the price, but due to California permits and licensing  along with being able to pass inspections I was advised to purchase here, so the cost is $115,000. I am hoping to raise $80,000.
