Baby Lilla's NICU Expenses

On August 10, 2017 Jacy and Seth welcomed their sweet new addition to their family. Lilla was born one month early, and after fighting hard in the NICU the first week of her life due to premature lungs, she was also diagnosed with Congenital Hypothyroidism. For her this means she has been very slow to gain weight, she has no energy, and she'll take medication for the rest of her life to treat her condition.


For Lilla's loving family this means instead of snuggling all night while she eats, watching for coos and funny faces in her sleep, and learning to touch their baby sister softly; their time with her is limited, they worry if she's eating and growing enough, and they hope and pray she'll join them in their home soon!

Because her TSH levels were so unusually high, she has remained in the NICU for the last 4 weeks as her body responds to the medication and she regains her strength. Right now, her medical team isn't sure when it will be safe for her to come home.


With the hospital an hour's drive from home (one way!), extra child care for the other kids while Jacy is at the hospital as much as possible, and medical bills stacking up beyond what is reasonable for any family to bear, offering any financial assistance possible would ease their minds and relieve at least one concern.


While we know it doesn't even touch the emotional and physical toll on their family, let's try to give them one less thing to worry about. And if you cannot offer anything at this time, please keep this family and little Baby Lilla in your prayers.
