---------------------------------

THIS CAMPAIGN IS TO EXPAND LILIGLOW BOUTIQUE. The financial goal is to grow. If I cannot gain 60% funding by 8/31/2017 Liliglow will face closing it's doors.

Contributions are accepted here on our page or in-person at the store.

About Liliglow:

Hello, my name is Tamara Johnson. I started Liliglow in 2010, as a hobby that slowly turned into a brand. It all sparked from learning to sew a simple bag. One small handmade purse, that later grew into me creating unique items as a part-time passion.

I would visit flea markets and craft fairs to sell bags that I had created, and that sparked my dream to open a fully stocked boutique. I moved into entrepreneurship by opening a store on Etsy and Liliglow's very own online shop.

As I worked my full time job as a research analyst in higher education, I created a plan to move forward with my brand, and to not only invest in my products but curate other designers.

I knew that this move needed to incorporate a true brick and mortar store and studio space, since it would build a bridge to connect customers outside of the less personal realm of internet sales.

In October 2016 Liliglow became a full fledged boutique that has a growing loyal customer base. Some are people who have shopped with me during my humble beginnings as a small table vendor at crafting or social events. While others have found us by seeing our orange boutique or following our social media pages.

We are located here:

Liliglow Boutique
3874 Lancaster Avenue
Philadelphia PA 19104

I fell in love with this space in 8/2016 and knew I could create my vision here. I invested personal assets to renovate and revitalize the space to fit Liliglow's need.

The Plan for $8,825:

Liliglow has been personally funded since it's inception in 2010. Once the store opened in October 2016, it has been a wide task to keep marketing and inventory. I am truly devoted to growing my brand and discovering new independent local, national, and international designers and artists.

Liliglow is considered creative retail, and we do produce and make our own products directly in the boutique.

Outside of our retail products we do spotlight our curated designers and have in-store events to pull new & curious customers in to experience Liliglow.

More of our featured designers & brand innovators can be found here:
https://vimeo.com/liliglow

I created the collection of videos by simply using my iPhone to interview our designers and featured artists, this helped to gain more exposure of the Liliglow brand. It has been a truly fun experience and has made our brand stand out.

OUR GOAL FOR FINANCES:

The goal for raising $8,825 is to further fuel our expenses dedicated to expanding our inventory with clothing, accessories, and gift items.

$8,825 will help buy supplies to create a new line of Liliglow's signature products that will be ready for Fall & Winter.

The needed financing will also positively impact the creation and promotion of our e-commerce site that helps boost revenue for our boutique.

Not only will our products from local designers and artists be accessible by visiting our boutique, but it will be expansive to a global market.

Costs associated with our goal:

Purchasing Raw Fabric and Supplies - since we do create products directly in the boutique.

An additional sewing machine for our Make & Take Sessions, we already have 2 in stock.

Marketing and Promotional Materials - we promote our events on social media through Facebook and Instagram, each promotion usually runs 2 weeks for our events. We also use printed flyers from our local copy center that we leave in neighboring businesses, such as coffee shops, eateries, and University Campuses.

Website Development - we have a beta site up now, but are pushing to get a ful fledged website up that connects to our online store. Our website will have bios on our in-store designers, forms for renting our boutique for pop-up shop events, and blog updates on our mission.

The Task To Grow & Expand - and to not CLOSE our doors.

Statistically, as a small business owner, it is hard to expand and keep up with costs for the 1st year. I understood this would be a challenge when I embarked on my boutique, and I was up for it.

My goal is to expand our leverage as a creative boutique that sells signature products and spotlights other designers.

It is important to me to continually build the Liliglow brand during the upcoming months, and financial assistance is the only solid way to do this.

Expanding our inventory and reaching customers through smart marketing will bring in more revenue. That will help operating costs, like recruiting paid employees and balancing overhead costs.

The Campaign for 30 Days:

The LILIGLOW FOREVER Campaign is really what it sounds like! Liliglow is a dream and business that I want to outlive me, and I want it to surpass the statistics of first time retailers. The only way that can happen is by looking at the next few months from August 2017 to December 2017 - and to build a plan not just to survive but THRIVE.

My goal is to reach our goal of $8,825 by Monday August 28th - to gain the most support.

I am truly grateful for you connecting with Liliglow and seeing that small business supports a community and also helps bring more unique heart felt products to the world.

Know that whatever you contribute will be used to GROW Liliglow as a brand and give it the longevity it needs to be successful!

Thank you so much for being a part of a dream and making sure that we don't lose our light!

Sincere thanks,
Tamara from Liliglow
