Like Water, A New Album from Krista Herring

Hello friends and global community! What a wild and intense time we live in.  Amidst the swirling of uncertainty and change, there is a profound creative potential that is being called forth in our responses.  I believe the medicine of expression in music and in art is needed, now, more than ever before.  This is a time of latent creativity and a rare opportunity to focus on and envision what we wish to see in the world.  It brings my heart the greatest joy to be able to bring you the songs of my soul that have been birthed through the love, the pain, and the messy (sometimes exquisite and sometimes excruciating)  experience of being human together in this life.

My new album tells a story.  Every song appears in chronological order of when it was conceived and written.  It is a journey within a journey, one that anyone who has ever been in love can relate to. These songs are intimate and potent.  They are a transmission in sound, imagery and word of the transformation and transmutation of the fire of Love, Loss, and Rebirth, as we come home to Self.

Musicians have been deeply impacted by the pandemic, arriving at a time when we were already facing into the challenges that come with the shifting sands of the music industry. 

This is where you come in!  I am asking for your support and inviting your investment and co-creation to bring this album to fruition and to offer it as medicine and nourishment for a world that is crying out for love, compassion and forgiveness, and for strength, courage and resiliency in these threshold times.

I can’t do this alone.  Together seems to be both a lesson and a hallmark of this time. To compete this album, I will need the support of my amazing global community.

The album, which I intend to release in March of 2021, will cost well over 10K. I have put everything I have into it, and I need your support to take it across the finish line. The costs include:

-Studio time/engineer/producer
-Hired musicians and guest artists
-Mixing 
-Mastering
-Costs of releasing singles and album to all platforms
-Artwork
