Hello Friend! Meet Raphael Sloan, our friend and fellow employee at Home Depot. For the two years we've known him, we have admired his work ethic and have loved the cheerful conversations he starts regarding everything from current events to college football.
The Backstory
Already the proud parents of one 5-yr-old son, Raphael told us just a few months ago that he and his wife, Vanessa, are expecting three more babies this February!
This came as a complete surprise to them, but they've honorably decided to bring all three babies home once they arrive. We (Ben and Courtney) admire their bravery, and feel compelled to do something to lighten the financial burden they will feel in the years to come.
How Many Diapers We Talkin'?!
At an estimated 15-24 diapers a day, the Sloans are expecting to spend over $2,000 and change over 6,000 diapers JUST to cover these little tushies for the first year. Our goal is to raise this projected amount (shhh! Quietly. It's a secret!) for them over the next 23 days, that they might ring in 2018 with good news.
How You Can Help
We would like to help lift the Sloan's load, but we can't do it on our own. If you'd like to (quietly) be a load-lifter with us, we'd be so glad for your help! An average box of diapers will cost between $30 and $40. Would you consider sponsoring the cost of 2 or even 3 boxes? Being new parents of an infant son ourselves, we're acutely aware of the load (no pun intended!) one child brings; let alone three at once! We'd be so grateful for your help, and all dollars raised beyond our goal will go toward funding their second year of diapers.
