Light up Tullibody appeal 2020
Over the past few years we all have felt the benefit of having the Christmas lights up in Tron court our wee town looks amazing with the new Christmas lights and a huge Christmas tree it has been fabulous to have this the last few years.
The financial cost of maintaining the lights, the storage, putting the lights up and down each year ,the cost of the insurance for the lights and the tree is very expensive and this year we have not been able to fund raise. Currently we don’t have the money to put the Christmas lights up again this year. 2020 has hit all the community groups hard as we have not been able to raise money. We are now at the point where if we don’t raise £3,000 we will not have Christmas lights this year we have enough money left from last year’s fundraising for insurance and storage for one more year but not enough to put the lights up.
We are appealing to people of Tullibody to get behind our light up Tullibody campaign and help us create Christmas cheer this year lets end 2020 with a bang . We have our raffles and prizes page that we were promoting prior to lockdown but it did not get much interest we still have this site and we hope to promote this over the next few weeks to help us rise money. People can donate via pay pal and we have started another fund me page to try raise funds. I know I will be very sad not to see Tullibody in lights this year. Tullibody community events as a community group is also at risk as we don’t raise funds to keep us running as a community group . Please help us make a difference in our community help us raise funds so we can continue on in to this year and many more to come . lets light us light up tullibody again so we are not the only town with no Christmas lights again .
