This is one of a series of events that are being used as pillars to bring about a positive change in Lawndale. We are attempting to help to reduce the crime up and down Douglass Blvd, while uniting and empowering the neighborhood and bringing about an encouraging change that transcends generations. We are making Lawndale Great Again!!!! One Event at a time.

Won't you come be a part of the rebuilding reshaping and restoration of Lawndale?
The purpose of this GoFundMe is to raise funds to install festive lights on over 600 trees and 150 light poles on Douglas Blvd in the Lawndale Community.
We believe that this would be a GREAT gesture and  time to exhibit "UNITY IN OUR COMMUNITY"
Lawndale has had many TRIUMPHS that has been accomplished in Lawndale both historically and recently.
1.The renaming of Doulas Park to Douglas”s” Park
2. Bike the Blvd (Biking the legendary and memorable blocks of Lawndale where history was written and made and still being established)
3. the opening of the Peace Garden at Stone Temple Baptist Church that houses a neighborhood refrigerator, and where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once visited and preached at 4. To Martin Luther King, Jr. living in Lawndale
This event is in an effort to keep putting the UMPH back in TRI"UMPH" and making history for Lawndaleanz and in the Lawndale Community. It’s our mission to bring inspiration, hope, and unity within the Lawndale Community by partnering with neighbors, groups, and non-profit organizations to provide decorations along Douglass Boulevard.
This event will take place several days through the Holiday Season starting on Saturday Nov 28th, 2020 and continuing on Every Saturday until Sat Dec. 19t, 2020.
This day will be filled with the Lawndale community neighbors, groups, and non-profit organizations volunteering and communing with each other AND ADHERING TO THE SOCIAL DISTANCING PROTOCOL THAT HAS BEEN PUT IN PLACE BY THE MAYOR AND GOVERNOR, while hanging the lights of unity and hope.
There will be light refreshments, raffles, and other surprises for the community of Lawndale.  List of lights that are needed can be found at this link: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3DQ65Q2I71RCR?ref_=wl_share
