Time is not on our side. Our last hope is an experimental drug. We need help!!!

In September, my daughter Jessica was diagnosed with Fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma, a form of liver cancer that is normally found in children. Her tumor is too large to remove. An alternative procedure where radiation pellets are placed directly into the tumor to shrink it is too dangerous for Jessica. She would not survive the procedure.

Now we are praying for approval by the drug companies to give her a drug that is not on the market yet. This drug, lenvatinib will hopefully shrink the tumor enough that it can be removed. Shrinking the tumor will also take pressure off her other organs which will allow them to work better. The tumor is about the size of a basketball now and is closing off her stomach, the valve that controls the blood flow back from the legs and feet and her lungs and heart.

Your donation is urgently needed - we have tapped our personal resources completely. If we have any hope of paying the mounting medical costs, I will need to return to work. In addition to paying for this life-saving drug, your donation will help to provide home health care for Jessica while I work to support us.

If you cannot contribute as this time, please light a candle and say a prayer for her and everyone that suffers from any illness.
