<div>As you might expect, many of the wonderful people of Africa are facing  significant economic challenges. This is a fundraiser for the Adom Zoe Foundation - an NGO (Non-Government Organization non-profit) in Ghana - West Africa. Adom Zoe is a small group that is doing amazing work in helping the poorest of the people in Ghana (especially women) to learn new vocational skills and providing some basic supplies and equipment for them to earn a living themselves. Some examples of their aid include the following:  They provide some individuals with a cook stove and supplies to make pancakes that are sold on the street. Others are assisted in buying used clothing or shoes for them to sell. Still others are provided supplies they use to prepare food items that the people in Ghana purchase as they are going about their day. Adom Zoe calls this "empowerment."  The organization also provides ongoing self-reliance classes to help people learn to manage money and begin to provide for themselves and their families. Those assisted are given tools to build on this success and improve themselves over time. Currently the Adom Zoe Foundation is  able to empower about 6 or 7 people a month. We would like to see if we can lift even more people in Africa. 100% of the funds gathered through GoFundMe will be sent to the Adom Zoe Foundation bank account in the Great Accra area of Ghana. It will then be used to empower more of the people. It takes between $150 and $200 per empowered person to get them started in their new vocation. Over 75% of donated funds go directly to the empowerment of these needy individuals. Because Adom Zoe is a non-profit organization in Africa, there are no tax deductions in the United States for donations given. Despite that, this is still a really great cause where we can help people who are struggling just to eat and feed their family.  The philosophy being used here is this:  "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime!"
