Lift for Ayden

I am setting up this GOFUNDME page for those who want to donate but can not attend.
We will be hosting a fundraiser May 3rd 2015 at Roca Tavern with Shawn Cole/Drunk Monkey as musical entertainment. Fundraiser is for our son Ayden Trammell 8 years old, who has SMA type I, similar to ALS but the onset at newborn/infant age.
We have no safe way to get Ayden up and down our basement stairs in his wheel chair, we need a lift! These lifts are very expensive! Ayden is vent dependent, requires frequent suctioning (due to muscle loss and inability to swallow), tube fed, can't and will never walk or talk. In an emergency situation, my husband and I lift
Ayden+wheelchair+equipment (about 150 lbs) down our stairs... With little his two year old sister (Maci) supervising. In an emergency situation (tornado) this is nearly impossible.
Aside from the things he can not do, he is a happy, smart, handsome young man who is defying odds every day! There are a number of things that SMA has taken away from him or kept him from doing that we can't control, so help us lift the barriers and improve Aydens safety and quality of life!
