Susan Richards Howard Needs a Lift!

Donation protected
On Tuesday, June 12, Susan took a fall in her home that caused a significant spinal cord injury . After an airlift to Boston Medical Center and an 8-hour surgery, she is now paralyzed and quadriplegic, and in need of quite a bit of help. She is currently undergoing extensive physical and occupational therapy at Spaulding Rehabilitation Center  (home of the amazing Boston Strong rehab team), where she's expected to remain until the end of August. Although she is completely paralyzed, she and her doctors remain very positive she will make great progress in restoring her spinal cord functions.

Obviously this is traumatic on a number of levels and the Howard family has depleted their savings to pay for the expenses so far. They are still facing a significant retrofitting on their home, which includes a wheelchair lift so Susan can access the house. We expect the lift to cost $20,000, which is out of reach for the family and for which we need your help.

If Susan ever supported you with a project, did you a favor, or lent you a helping hand, now is a wonderful chance to repay that kindness. Please consider donating whatever you can to help.

Thank you.
