Lift Josue Up: Rebuild After His Tragic Crash
Donation protected
A month ago, on November 1st, 2024, my brother's life changed forever. While Josue was riding his motorcycle just a few miles from his home in Pleasant Grove, Utah, he was involved in a devastating accident. Despite having the right of way, a driver hit him head-on, sending him flying off his bike. In a split second, he instinctively made a life-saving decision to jump from the motorcycle. Witnesses describe seeing him flip 1.5 times in the air before landing on his head and rolling 25 feet. His injuries were severe, but we believe angels protected him that day.
When first responders arrived, they found his left leg broken with bones visible, his right arm and left hand fractured, two broken ribs, a punctured lung, and two hematomas. Emergency surgery that lasted 4.5 hours saved his life (along with his helmet and riding gear). Surgeon placed a titanium rod in his left leg and stainless steel plates and screws on his right arm; and while the physical wounds are healing, the emotional and financial impact has been overwhelming.
My brother’s love for motorcycles was his passion, and having that taken away has been heartbreaking. Despite his courage, resilience, and commitment to healing, this accident has cost him not only his mobility but also his job. He is currently unable to work, and his recovery may take over four months or longer. Physical therapy is helping him learn to walk and regain basic independence, but the financial burden of medical bills, therapy, and daily living expenses is crushing.
As his sister, I want to do everything I can to support him during this challenging time. That is why I’m asking for your help. Funds raised will go directly toward:
Medical expenses: Ongoing physical therapy, follow-up appointments.
Living expenses: Rent, utilities, and groceries while he’s unable to work.
Mental health support: Counseling to process the trauma and emotional toll of this accident.
My brother is one of the most selfless, kind-hearted people I know. Even in the hospital, he put others first, asking his bishop to contact close friends to avoid worrying our elderly parents. He has always been someone who helps others, but now, he’s the one in need of help.
Any amount you can give will make a tremendous difference in helping him focus on healing without the added stress of financial hardship. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this campaign with your friends and family would mean the world to us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read this. Your kindness, prayers, and support are truly appreciated.

I am Clarice, Josue’s sister, and I will be managing this campaign for him while he focuses on recovery. Every dollar raised will go toward helping him get back on his feet (literally) both physically and financially.
With gratitude,
Clarice
