Helping our dear friend Chris Churchill

Donation protected
After years of generously giving to everyone around her – from family and friends to strangers needing help - our dear friend Chris has received some devastating news. It’s now time for us to help her.

Chris has been diagnosed with large, Grade 3 brain tumour.

Chris is scheduled for her first brain surgery on 19 July, to attempt to remove the most complex part of the tumour. This potentially may  be followed by months of radiation, rehabilitation and further surgery.

Even after Medicare rebates and private health insurance, the ‘gap’ Chris will need to pay for her treatment will be potentially in excess of $50,000.

The surgical team has also explained that the best treatment for Chris is only available in the UK or US. So to have the best chance for a tumour-free future, she also needs to find another $130,000 to access this.

Chris is a marriage celebrant - and she is a ‘giver’. She has donated her time, skills and services hundreds of times over the years to help South Australians facing terminal illness and loss, and she tirelessly supports the charities and businesses run by those around her.

Even now Chris is more worried about her upcoming weddings than her own health!

Chris has touched so many lives – so we wanted to give you all the opportunity to show your thanks, and help give her the best chance to beat these tumours.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, energy and strength as Chris prepares to begin this huge battle in the months ahead.
