Life-Saving Liver Transplant for Jeriel

My name is David Armo.  My son Jeriel David is an eleventh grade student at Montgomery Blair High School here in Silver Spring, Maryland. We are from Takoma Park, MD. Jeriel's ambition is to become a Surgeon. During his free time Jeriel love to surf the net and play video games. Last year Jeriel was diagnosed with advanced liver disease. After several medical assessments, the doctors concluded that he would need a liver transplant and he was wait listed. Sometime August this year he had a successful liver transplant at Georgetown University Hospital.

His liver post-transplant care is a very long and expensive process despite of having insurance coverage. Right now, he has frequent outpatient follow up visits which includes regular blood and radiology work as part of the post-transplant care and not to mention several other emergency department visits following complication rising from the liver transplant. These outpatient service visits cost us a lot of copayment bills (out of pocket expenses). In additions Jeriel is also taking several anti-bacterial and anti-rejection medications which incurs pharmacy copayments as well.  At this moment we owe the hospital, physicians, and the lab company about $10000.00 and we are required to make payments before the end of this year. Funds raised will be used to pay off all outstanding medical bills.
