Life-Saving Heart Surgery for Rev. Wilson Mamboleo

Donation protected
The family of Rev. Wilson Mamboleo humbly asks your support in urgently raising funds to ensure that our beloved Dad and Grandfather is able to get the life-saving Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (“TAVR”) heart surgery to save his life. He has been diagnosed with Severe Aortic Stenosis.  The reason we are doing this urgent fund raising campaign is because he needs to have the surgery in the 1st week of January 2021 at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi. The surgery will be performed by the best TAVR surgeon in Sub-Saharan Africa, Dr. Jeilan who was a part of the team that performed the 1st TAVR surgery in the UK in 2006.  There is an urgent need to get this surgery done right away to save his life.  . The surgery will cost approximately $50,000.  Kenya hospitals will not perform the surgery unless we pay upfront for the surgery as our Dad does not have medical insurance. We need to immediately pay $25,000 to order the customized Medtronic valve and then pay the remaining $25,000 prior to the surgery.

Rev. Wilson Mamboleo lost his beloved wife, our mother and grandmother in February 2019 and since then has been experiencing various medical challenges related to the severe aortic stenosis, including a double hip fracture (from which he recovered recently) and a leg hairline fracture. The Doctors believe that with the surgery, he will be able to regain the quality of life that he enjoyed previously. Our Dad is still going strong in his ministry of Prayer and Intercession and wishes to continue to serve other people through his ministry. Despite the recent health challenges including contracting COVID19 in November, he has continued to stay strong and record his messages of encouragement through online streaming. He is determined to continue his life’s mission of helping people rise higher in their spiritual lives. Even at 84 years, we believe he has many more decades of life ahead of him. His mother and grandmother both lived to be over 105 years and we believe Rev. Mamboleo has a long productive life ahead of him post surgery.

Our Dad is pure joy, wisdom, peace and love and we believe that he still has so much more of these qualities to share with the world. Prior to his double hip fracture in August of 2019, Rev. Mamboleo was very active, riding his stationary bicycle, going on daily walks, going to his office in downtown Nairobi, meeting people in need, traveling the country and world to preach, helping and mentoring leaders and overall living a life of purpose and service. The doctors believe that post surgery, he will be able to resume his active lifestyle and continue his Prayer and Intercession ministry.

As a family we have exhausted our financial resources paying for both our mother’s medical care (she died after a long battle with cancer) and our father’s recent hospital stays and medical care to the tune of $50,000.  We do not ask for funds lightly.  We understand that this is a challenging time for all and would appreciate any funds you can contribute--no contribution is too small!

Please share with your friends and family and your social network to help us get Dad his new aortic valve replaced via the non-invasive TAVR surgery. He still has so much living left in him and so much to give to the world.

We are grateful for your support. This will be the best Christmas gift you could give our family-the gift of a life-saving surgery!

Grateful and God Bless you all!
