Stones of Remembrance

We have named this journey, "Stones of Remembrance." We never want to forget what God has done in Ghana. For me, this trip is about remembering all that God has done for and through our family. It is also about looking forward to the future by putting down "stones of remembrance." Those "stones" will be the Sidney Goodwin Memorial Conference and Retreat Center and "Back to Bawku", a documentary made by R.J. Vickers, II.
We have been working hard to raise funds and access personal savings to finance this trip, but we still need funds for one (1) plane ticket as well as some of the local travel, food, lodging and other expenses. Our departure date is July 24, 2013, so our time is getting short. Would you please consider donating towards this trip for God's work in Ghana through the Goodwins/Shepperds/ Piersons/Vickers?

Ever watch the show "Who Do You Think You Are?" It was the one where a celebrity traced his or her ancestry back through the generations to find out more about their family tree. This trip is a lot like that show in that some of our extended family will be going back to Ghana with us to see where my grandparents ministered all those years, where some of them were born and and where Uncle Sid is buried. We will be celebrating the 76th anniversary of the senior Goodwins' arrival in the former Gold Coast as missionaries bringing the message of the Gospel and commemorating the 50th anniversary of Uncle Sid's death and burial in Misiga, Ghana.
This missions trip is also open to friends of the Goodwin family. Details, cost, itinerary, etc. will be forthcoming very soon.
The main event is August 1st - 3rd in Misiga, Ghana on the main mission compound.
