Life and Love for Lori!

In a small town, people care for each other.  Everyone is your neighbor.  The old joke is that in a small town, you can dial a wrong number and still talk for 20 minutes.  It's true.  Lori Thomas Kloepping is such a person.  She's a friend to everyone.  She has spent her life giving of her time and talent and opening her home and her heart to everyone in need.  She's always ready and willing to lend a hand to help her family, friends, church, and community.   Lori has lived her entire life giving to anyone who needed help and support, as has her entire family.   Lori's husband, Eric, her parents, John and Connie, and her children, Klint and Kara are as giving, caring and generous as she is.  They are incredible people that I feel fortunate to know.

Now Lori is in need of our help.  She has been battling Lupus for many years and that insidious affliction has taken its toll on her kidneys.   She is in urgent need of a transplant.  Sadly, Lori was recently diagnosed with stage 4 kidney failure and insurance will not cover the entire cost of the operation that will save her life.  The beleaguered, disorganized. complicated and mystifying health care system with which we must contend has left her in dire need.  At a time when our healthcare system should be helping someone facing a catastrophic illness, she has been cast aside.  Lori and her family must pay a significant portion for the transplant process as she is ineligible for secondary health insurance coverage.

Friends, we know the medical and insurance industries can be rather difficult to navigate.  In order for Lori to get on the transplant list, she must show proof that she can pay out of pocket the remaining amount of the operation not covered by insurance.  Without the money raised here, she will be unable to move forward in the lengthy transplant process.  We must extend a loving, supportive hand to this amazing lady.  Please give generously as you are called to grant Lori a second lease on life.
