Aloha Dear friends,
As a child growing up in the 40's and 50's, like many other children my age, I was vaccinated against the polio virus. In my case, I was one of them that actually contacted it . After a crippling experience with it for many years, I found myself on my feet again and began to live a normal life.
For most of my time here, I have lived a fairly healthy life, traveling the world sharing healthy lifestyles, enlightenment intensives and teaching people the ancient art of Fire Walking.
About two years ago, I started experiencing symptoms of a neurological disease and to my surprise found out that I had a very rare and reoccurring condition called post polio syndrome. A situation that can show up in senior years that the doctors and researchers have not been able to find a cure for. More and more, I found myself becoming really short of breath, practically on deaths door every day and found out that I needed a heart valve replacement operation. By the grace of god I received this life saving operation at the Maui Memorial hospital and by all accounts it was successful. Not being able to think straight for many months prior to this life saving event, has put me in a position where I could not work and have used up all of my available resources.
My friends, Kedar and Shelley have been over the top in helping me with my health and living needs, however after the operation the living situation with them is rustic and not really suitable for my recovery and it is time for me to move on.
I am looking for a very simple personal space with the basics… shower and bathroom. Ideally a private ohana. I have been without work for over two months now and in the hospital several times. I can take care of myself functionally speaking. I drive my own vehicle and assist with chores around the house and yard, etc.
I am getting Aloha Care who cares for all my health benefits. Housing is my only challenge that has not been met. I work on that one daily! My doctors see my future as bright. I have very strong resolve to conquer this and return to super health once again.
