 Life Compass has a unique community-focused ministry of our church called Life Compass Arts. We offer this free program to provide opportunities for young artists and innovators of our community to develop in a Christian environment. LCA has been serving Kankakee County for 17 years, offering group lessons in guitar, violin, piano, drums, ukulele, vocals, art, audio engineering, and music production.

 Life Compass was started with one mission in mind: Bring hope and joy to students in their city (located 60 miles south of Chicago) by providing access to music and art education. What’s unique about Life Compass Arts is we provide classes at ZERO cost to the students and their families. And, the students keep their instruments as a gift at the end.

 At the end of each year, students participate in a recital in front of their family, friends and peers.

 A FUN WAY TO RAISE FUNDS: LIFE COMPASS’ 17TH ANNUAL CENTURY BIKE RIDE FUNDRAISER

 For the last 16 years, a few dozen bike riders have committed to raising money for our Life Compass Arts program. They will do this again on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend, September 5th, by riding up to 100 kilometers.
</div>

<div>
 Everyone is welcome. We do encourage riders to help raise funds, but we don't require it. The ride begins in St. Anne, Illinois at 5:00 AM. The LC Century ride is segmented in loops, with breaks in between, making it accessible for people of all fitness levels. Riders can participate for any amount of miles. This is not a timed race. It's an act of solidarity and symbolism that we will 'go the distance' for the community of Kankakee.
