Life after Rehab
Donation protected
Hi my name is Hannah,
After years of struggling with Alcohol abuse, I finally entered into Brynawel Residential Rehab at the beginning of 2019. I worked extremely hard and had to face some terrible events from my past life, but after 17 weeks of a 16 week program I have started my journey into Self Discovery. As part of this I have decided that I want to give something back, so I want to train to be a Drug and Alcohol Recovery worker......
To start this I am Volunteering my time to a misuse service and would like to start to gain funding towards the fees for three evening courses for the next academic year at Pembrokeshire College, but I have come across a massive barrier....I am not entitled to any Government funding for the Fees as the courses that I want to do are too part time to be eligible. Yet I can't afford to pay the £420 outright as I am literally starting again from scratch living in Supported Housing until I can afford my own Flat and scrapping by with the little benefits that I receive. I thought that due to my circumstances and dedication to help others in the position that I was in, help would be available. How wrong I was! If anyone reading this could help with a couple of pounds until I reach my goal I would be forever thankful.
If you would like to see a little about myself and Bryawel Rehab where I started with my Journey to Discovery please check out two articles that I was involved in when there on WalesOnLineBrynawel and BBCWalesBrynawel.
Thanks so much for reading this and I hope that you can help!
