On May 5th 2020 my entire life was altered. I thought initially that it would a small set back, but this is not the case. I’m usually very very private with my life. But I’ve run out of options and it’s really taking a toll on me.
on May 5th I broke my Tibia in 3 places, shattered my knee cap and a hairline fracture in my thigh(i can’t remember the name of the bone lol). After undergoing a ORIF Tibial procedure, i began my healing process. While trying to stay as proactive as possible i never imagined that this injury that i thought i would bounce back from would permanently change my life.
After the waiting and healing process for my bones I found out via X-ray/ CT that my leg will never be the same. I’ve just begun walking a few weeks ago and it’s hell. apparently my knee shattered and the pieces damaged nerves, and other parts of my leg.
i lost my job because i wasn’t quick enough on crutches to run to their every beck and call. I can no longer work in my chosen field or at all at the time. I have been denied for disability because they feel i am “young and healthy” And now, i am about to lose my housing because i can’t work. I can’t stand or sit for too long. I am not able to lift or carry anything. I have applied for endless jobs who all tell me they are nit able to accommodate and incoming employee withsuch needs.
I’m simply asking for help. Something i usually don’t do and suffer in silence. I know that this is a very very tough time in the world. I usually like to be the one to give and pour into others.... but this time it’s different.
i greatly appreciate anyone who is able to donate. Every single penny counts. I just want to secure a place for me to live and then i can take it from there as best i can.
