Children's Ministry Expenses

It's me, Vivian, heading back to Africa for another 12 months.
This GoFundMe page was set up to help pay for the costs of helping God's people, where God presents a need.
Thus far this fund has helped purchase some of the Bibles purchased for children in Sunday school and in the hospital , printing materials and purchasing supplies for Sunday school and a teacher workshop. The funds helped pay for a Christmas party for children in the hospital and for the Sunday school.
Almost daily I am presented with needs. food for those who need help. This fund has already helped offset many ministry expenses, such as the labels, markers, and other items I brought with me. I'm keeping a log book and receipts of expenses for accountability and as a record of the needs and opportunities to minister to others.
Just last week I saw an angry boy along the road home. My first thoughts were that he had an argument or disagreement with a friend, maybe he was unhappy about his test results, or even upset about a perceived unfair punishment. I greeted him and he walked past me, arms crossed and face set in a scowl. But the Holy Spirit would not let me continue. I turned around and caught up with him. I simply asked, "Are you okay?"
I guess I expected him to vent his anger, or perhaps refuse to talk to me at all. Much to my surprise and empathy he looked at me and looked away quickly. Then he began to cry. Tears spilled into his hands. His father was dead. His mother now very ill and there was no money to pay for her bills. He was walking on this road hoping someone might help. I gave him the money I had with me, offered it to him along with prayer. Thankfully it was enough to pay for a clinic visit and for medication. I don't know the rest of his story. God does.
Two days before Christmas one of the ladies who needed help paying for family medical bills came to thank me. She smiled and grabbed me like a long lost friend. I asked about her health and her children. What are you having for Christmas dinner, I asked her? She looked at me, sadly. There is no money for food she explained. These funds provided her family with food. She looked at me again with a wide smile. "May God bless you." was all she said as she gave me another bone crushing hug.
Living by faith and with gratitude for those who give so it can be passed on to others...thankful to Jesus who is with us always, and who brings people to us to share the gospel and His love. I have been given much, please pray that God will help me to do more.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 NIV
