Liberal Education Student Conference 2019

The Liberal Education Student Conference will take place in May 2019 in Berlin, Germany. The conference brings together students from Liberal Education institutions across Europe to discuss the relevance of their education to the world at large and its importance on an individual level. It specifically examines the relation of a liberal education to the spheres of politics, technology, society, the global economy, and education. (More information can be found here)

LESC 2019 wants to give as many students as possible the opportunity to come together to discuss these themes and to learn from the historical-geographical space of Berlin. To this end we are trying to raise funds to enable participants from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds to participate and for all conference participants to have as enriching an experience as possible. Funds will first and foremost be used to finance the offerings of the conference program (including meals, cultural activities, and travel costs within Berlin). Furthermore, LESC 2019 would like to establish a ‘social fund’ that potential participants can appeal to in order to claim compensation for their travel costs to and from Berlin.

LESC is non-profit and student driven. Your donation will go directly towards supporting the participants in the conference, creating a necessary space for reflection and enabling students to engage in meaningful dialogue.
