Libby’s Journey

Libby loves to play with her sisters and friends but has never been able to keep up since she was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma (a type of pediatric brain cancer) in 2020. Her fatigue levels are so high, but she tries so hard. Every accommodation her family has made for their house and their life has Libby’s best interests in mind. And their goal is to have her feel included and able to do as much as she can for as long as she can.

 

She loves to sit outside and watch her dog, Archie, run and play with her sisters. Her

treatments have left her quite affected by hot and cold weather, which makes being

outside more of a struggle. Being able to spend as much quality family time together

and creating amazing family memories has become the family's primary goal. They

aren’t guaranteed a future as a family of five, so they are making the best of every

moment they have together.

While the family focuses on treatments and getting her well, we at Columbus

Hardscapes want to give them a beautiful place to relax and make memories. We have

joined up with some of our service partners and are donating a large amount of

material, labor, profit, and more to build this family an outdoor living space that they can enjoy together and give Libby a place where she can relax.
