Our Fighter Liam
Liam Ares is disgnosed with Neuroblastoma and is only 9 months old. The tumor the doctors found they thought was attached to his adrenal gland but as more tests were done, they concluded they were wrong. It is currently wrapped around his aorta and connected to spinal nerves, making it very difficult for a surgical removal. Liam is currently in the process of preparing for Chemotherapy and will be facing an extremely large surgery at the end of his treatments when the doctors feel the time is appropriate.
Jamie, Liam's mom, has been living at the hospital as to not leave her son's side during this, while spending time with their family and friends who are able to make their way to visit. Liam's father, Kyle, is in the Marines and is currently deployed during this difficult time. This has been extremely hard for the family as a whole.
As we all know, hospital stays, surgeries, medications and tests can be extremely costly. Jamie has not been able to work since she spends every awakening moment holding Liam's hand and Kyle is working his time in the line of duty. If you can find it in your heart to donate even just $1, you will be helping this family not only financially, but mentally and emotionally as well. Seeing the support will only lift their spirits and make a difficult time more bearable.
I was asked to elaborate on the above statement about medical expenses. Jamie and Kyle (and Liam) DO HAVE insurance for medical purposes through the Military. Many of us have experience with not everything being covered and to be honest, Jamie and Kyle are not sure where they will stand when this is all said and done. Costs have already been put our for tests for Liam during his stay. Jamie has been in contact with individuals in the hospital about this and they had mentioned if things were not covered completely, they would try their best to look into programs to help them cover costs. The TRUTH is, Jamie is not able to work and the TRUTH is she has another daughter at home with her parents. The TRUTH is, Liam is in a rough situation and his family is doing everything they can to get him well regardless of what bills or no bills they will have. If this puts any of you in an uneasy disposition and you feel as though you donated money to a lie, please contact me so we can work on getting you your money back. There is no intention to LIE on this page and get money for a family that is not in need.
